Amway Corporation commits to reduce undernutrition in children under 5 with their nutrition expertise and products. Amway commits to do this by partnering with other companies , governments and organizations in 15 countries. Lastly, Amway is investing to better understand the double burden of malnutrition to inform future businesses and social investment.
Statement of Commitments
Amway Corporation has developed a micronutrient powder (MNP) called Nutrilite Little Bits. Nutrilite Little Bits is based on the World Health Organization’s guidance for 15 minerals and vitamins. Additionally, Amway is partnering with CARE and many local implementation partners who operate existing nutrition and education programs. Over the next 3 years, Amway will provide Nutilite Little Bits, behavior change communication materials and resources to these implementation partners to ensure critical nutrients are incorporated to the daily diets of tens of thousands of children. Additionally, Amway is supporting research by the Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition to map the double burden of malnutrition in low, middle and high income countries. Amway will develop various tools including digital map to share this information to relevant and key stakeholders.
