Today STA’s activities are focus on humanitarian and social, nutritional programs and actors and those of their partners’
Statement of Commitments
STA aims to contribute to improving the nutritional status of the most vulnerable children by manufacturing products with local raw materials for the treatment of prevention of malnutrition, and to develop products adapted to the eating habits of the people of Niger. Moreover, STA promotes GRA (Generating revenue activities) through the value chain to ensure a sustainable business model, as well as promoting good health practices through pictograms on their products and communicating with both clients and end users via video campaigns.
STA has made substantial investments in acquiring equipment to produce preventive type foods that ensures diversification and use of local raw materials.
The overall goal is to increase the capacity of production, upgrade the quantity to meet the international standards of the World Health Organization, and reach those in need in Niger as well as the Sub-Saharan region with therapeutic foods.
By the end of 2015, STA aims to treat 400.000 children through their products.
STA commits to also transferring know how and training thorough the value chain of locally sourced raw material. Some of the programs wilt aim at helping actors in peanuts production to formalize their activities By doing so that they can increase quality standards and productivity.
