SUN Business Network Strategy 2018-2020

The SBN is pleased to announce its strategic update for the period 2018-2020. The SBN will increase its support to SUN Countries, aiming to assist the development of more National SBNs by the end of 2020, while improving the tools which can be utilised by National SBNs to support business to act and invest responsibly in improving nutrition.SBN Overview 2018

The SBN’s global team’s programme implementation plan for 2018-2020 provides an overview of how the team will

  • Support more SUN Countries to establish National SBNs
  • Ensure businesses at global and national level adopt commitments to improve the nutrition of their workforce
  • Improve access to technical assistance, finance and business development services to National SBNs, and in particular their small and medium enterprise (SME) members, through global partnerships with multinational companies and support providers at global level

A Workplan and budget is managed by the SBN Global Team, which is co-convened by the Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN) and the UN World Food Programme. In July 2018, GAIN and the WFP will review the SBN’s global team’s strategy, logic model and workplan and agree on any revisions. These will be posted on the SBN website by August 31st 2018.
