Emerging networks are in SUN Countries where the government has made a commitment to ending malnutrition through a multi-stakeholder approach and private sector companies have begun to mobilise their support.
In these countries: Burundi, Cote d’Ivoire, Ethiopia, Mali, Myanmar, Vietnam, Sudan, Uganda and Zimbabwe, businesses have begun to mobilise their support for a multistakeholder, multisectoral approach to improving nutrition.
At this early stage, a Coordinator is appointed by the government or a supporting organisation and then a business, the Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition or the World Food Programme helps to incubate these efforts. The Coordinator is tasked with formalising commitments from interested companies and works towards setting a strategy to pave the way for a bold and ambitious business network for nutrition.
If you are a company interested in engaging with the emerging networks or beginning a network in a country where one does not yet exist, we would love to hear from you.
