On 22 December 2011, the Republic of Indonesia joined the SUN Movement with a letter of commitment from HE Endang Rahayu Sedyaningsih, the Minister of Health. At the time, a central multi-stakeholder, multi-sectoral coordinating SUN Forum had been established. As of 2017, business engagement evolved to a fully functioning network which now includes nutrition-specific and nutrition sensitive companies.

Network Strategy

The current network strategy is to focus; First 1,000 Days of Life and Adolescence, Balanced Nutrition, and Health and Sanitation.

Current Network Priorities

  1. Mobilise and invite private companies to support government priorities to scale up nutrition
  2. Grow membership to include non food companies
  3. Encourage multisectoral collaboration
