Lao PDR
In April 2011, the Lao People’s Democratic Republic joined the SUN Movement with a letter of commitment from the Minister of Health. By 2016, the Laos government began to mobilise support to liaise with the private sector and by 2018, with the support of the World Food Programme, the Lao PDR SUN Business Network was launched with a full time consultant, dedicated to getting the Network off the ground.

Network Strategy
The SUN Business Network Lao PDR Strategy for 2018-2022 was developed, approved and endorsed by key stakeholders, including representatives from the National Nutrition Committee Secretariat, the World Food Programme, the European Union, UNICEF, Population Services International (PSI) and Save the Children.
