Results of an Online Survey: Current Challenges Facing Small- and Medium-Sized Enterprises in the Food System

The Scaling Up Nutrition (SUN) Business Network (convened by the World Food Programme (WFP) and GAIN), undertook an online survey of food system SMEs in July 2022, aiming to assess the impacts of the food price crisis and other contextual factors on their businesses. 219 responses were received from 12 countries, mostly from micro- or small-sized firms; respondents were primarily firms in the processing and farming sectors and grains, vegetables, fruit, eggs, meat, and roots/tubers value chains.
